Advancing your skills in Wal-Mart's Retail Link®
Software &
Decision Support through Delta's workshop.
In RL101, we build a solid foundation
for utilizing Wal-Mart's Retail Link®
software and Decision Support and learn
how to answer some fundamental business questions that
most companies are faced with. RL201 goes a step further
into Decision Support, focusing on the development of
advanced queries as well as the skill sets necessary
to optimally manage data.
One of the challenges Retail Link®
software users face is getting
data to do what they need. While some people can build
the right query, they lack the ability to efficiently
manipulate data. It is for this reason that we incorporate
much of Excel's functionality into our RL201 course.
Sometimes, building the right query is not enough; in
today's business environment, we need answers - and
we need them fast.
In this two day workshop you will:
Learn how to quickly answer business questions so you
can immediately take action-oriented steps.
- Where are there high & low weeks on hand?
- What percent of stores have inactivated key items
and who are they?
- Are sales trending upward in the last few weeks
at a higher rate than year-to-date?
- What is cumulative sellthru by week?
- Are units growing faster or slower than sales?
- What is the instock trend in relation to inventory
and sales?
- How does the company's sales trend compare to the
seasonal fineline profile?
- What are my high-volume stores and do they have
similar "Store of the Community" characteristics?
- Does there appear to be a correlation between store
sales volume and certain traits?
Discover how Store of the Community information can
be applied to better understand the customer.
Master Microsoft® Excel functionalities, such as
PivotTable, Vlookup, and Macros to increase efficiency
in data management. Learn skills necessary to design
and manage workbook templates so you can automate repetitive
reporting functions.
Advance your understanding on queries available in
Decision Support and learn how they can be applied to
your business.
