In today's retail environment, more data is becoming available than ever before. The dilemma you now have is how to manage it; you have outstanding Excel skills but something in the back of your mind is telling you that there has to be a better way. This is where Access comes in.

Becoming proficient in Excel & Access is a must for today's analyst. Even though your company may have a customer oriented IT department, there are many times when Access can be used to process vast amounts of information configured to your needs in a short period of time, reducing the need to pulling away valuable IT resources.

While there are a number of avenues to learn Access, most individuals struggle with the fundamentals because they have to bridge the gap between how an exercise based on accounting or a flower shop parlays into the retail environment. This is where Delta comes in!

In this two day workshop, you will:

Learn how to use Access to collect, process, and output the information you need to drive business decisions. Design a database to meet your informational needs and how to use this powerful tool to reduce time in performing repetitive tasks.

Discover how to automate the data update process so you can quickly update data sources, process, and generate information in minutes. In addition, attendees will learn how to setup a form that allows easy data management.

Master table design and structure so your information will be fast and efficient, allowing your quick processing of information. Attendees will see the benefits of analyzing datasets as they are received from various sources and setting things up correctly on the front side of a project.

Advance your understanding on queries, the different types, and how they are used to control and manipulate data the way you need. There are six commonly used queries each with a distinctive purpose, attendees will learn how each can be used to make life simpler.

This workshop is designed for individuals who have had some exposure to Microsoft® Access and want to use it to better manage data. This is a entry level to intermediate workshop.
