Online Courses
Prepare to Sell Courses
Online learning for store-level associates.
Consumers can be overwhelmed by the complexity of decisions they face and the questions that arise when purchasing within a category.
For example:
- What regimen of products is best for oily, dry, or thinning hair?
- What are the appropriate skin-care products for dry or aging skin?
- What type of battery performs best in a digital camera—disposable or rechargeable?
Exceptional in-store associates know the answers and are happy to engage each customer and recommend the right solution for his or her particular needs. These well-trained associates enhance the shopping experience, which leads to an increase in store loyalty and sales. In fact, retailers have increased department sales 16 to 30% after their associates improved their ability to sell category solutions.
Ready to provide your associates with the training they need to excel? Prepare to Sell™ is the online training program that shows associates how to create product solutions for customers by combining the best customer-employee interaction model in retail with extensive category knowledge and product information.
These 15- to 20-minute courses will teach your associates how to engage a shopper, what type of questions to ask, and which products to recommend to meet the described problem or need. You will be able to improve employee performance in a variety of departments, such as batteries, hardware, lighting products, film/camera, pet supplies, school supplies, and many others.
Each course is divided into two lessons: Lesson One demonstrates the customer/employee engagement model and its use within the department. Lesson Two delivers a range of category-management training for category and store managers and buyers.
